The Making of an Icon

Hudson’s Bay’s most enduring symbol is The Point Blanket. To mark the 350th year I concepted videos that would show the many steps that go into creating each blanket at AW Hainsworth Mill in Yorkshire, England. I worked closely with Evaan Kheraj to create a 90-second video that showed not only the many processes, but the many people that watch over its journey before it comes home to Canada.

In addition to the 90-second narrative, we created cutdowns for social, added Q+As with key Hainsworth staff, and recorded birthday messages for the brand.

Celebrate 350

As a member of Hudson’s Bay’s 350 celebration task force (sadly, not task force badges were circulated), I led copy across a range of initiatives, including partnerships and celebrations. While the pandemic ultimately limited the May 2 anniversary and surrounding events, we quickly shifted focus to the reissued Point Blankets and product collaborations, all of which could be enjoyed by customers at home.
